WHERE DO WE BEGIN
Let’s Chat
Ready to get this journey started?
The first step is simple. Send through an enquiry via my contact page and I’ll be in touch within a few business days.
This is where we get to know each other properly. You can tell me all about your story, your vision for the day, and the kind of ceremony you’re hoping for. It’s also a great chance to make sure we’re the right fit. After all, your celebrant is standing beside you during one of the biggest moments of your life, so connection matters.
If you decide to move forward, I’ll guide you through the booking process step by step.
First, you’ll complete the Pre-Booking Form so I can confirm all the important details for your ceremony.
From there, we’ll organise a time to complete and witness your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) and begin planning your ceremony together.
This is where the real magic starts.
You’ll receive:
You’ll then receive my Client Service Agreement (CSA) to review, complete and return. This keeps everything clear, professional, and easy from the very beginning.
Once the CSA is signed and the $100 deposit fee is paid (non refundable), your wedding date is officially secured in my calendar.
A Ceremony Planning Kit to help guide you through the process and explore your ceremony options
A Questionnaire designed to help uncover your story, personalities, values, and the moments that matter most
Together, we’ll shape a ceremony that feels genuine, personal, and completely true to the two of you. We’ll work through vows, readings, structure, inclusions, and the overall tone of the ceremony.
Your ceremony script is usually finalised around one month before the wedding, and we’ll then hold a rehearsal or run-through so everyone feels calm, confident, and organised before the big day arrives.
Legal Paperwork
There are three main legal documents required to marry in Australia, and I’ll guide you through every one of them.
Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM)
Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) Form
This form must be completed one calendar month before your wedding date and can be lodged up to 18 months prior. I’ll help you complete and witness the paperwork either in person or online.
Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage
Declaration of no legal impediment to marriage Form
This document confirms that you are legally able to marry. It is usually signed at your rehearsal or just before the ceremony begins.
Marriage Certificates
During your ceremony, three marriage certificates are signed. One is for you to keep on the day, one is retained by me, and one is lodged with Births, Deaths and Marriages.
I will lodge all legal paperwork within 48 hours after your ceremony.
Once your marriage has been officially registered, you can then apply for your official marriage certificate, which is needed for things like changing your name, updating passports, and other legal documents. If needed, I’m more than happy to guide you through that process as well.
Documents You’ll Need
To complete your legal paperwork, you’ll need to provide original identification documents.
This can include:
An Australian or overseas passport
Your birth certificate together with photo identification such as a driver’s licence
If applicable, you’ll also need to provide:
Evidence of any name changes
Divorce papers or a decree of nullity
A previous spouse’s death certificate
Any documents not written in English must be officially translated before I can use them.
Your Wedding Day
On the day itself, you’ll need two witnesses who are both over 18 years of age. These can be family members or friends.
I’ll take care of all the ceremony essentials, including:
All legal paperwork
A professional PA system for your ceremony
So your only job is to soak it all in, stay present, and enjoy every moment.
After the Ceremony
After your wedding, I will lodge your marriage paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages and provide your commemorative marriage certificate on the day.
Then comes the best part, walking back up the aisle officially married. Not a bad way to finish the day.
